This section allows you to set up the integrated OpenVPN client settings for client-to-site based VPN applications in which the router can act as the OpenVPN client device to another OpenVPN server or site. OpenVPN uses SSL/TLS protocols for key exchange, authentication, and encryption. The OpenVPN server allows remote OpenVPN clients to establish an encrypted private connection to your router over the Internet in order to access resources on your local network such as shared documents, media, and other local network devices. OpenVPN requires other remote VPN endpoints to use the OpenVPN protocol or software for VPN connectivity.
